Gold is easily affected by harsh chemicals, like for example household bleach, swimming pool chlorine or other cleaning products. We recommend to remove jewelry when using chemicals to reduce daily abrasions, discolor and prolong the luster.

In order to clean gold jewelry use a solution of warm water and detergent-free soap with a soft brush. Also non-abrasive cleaner can be used.

Moreover examine the jewelry regularly to make sure the settings are still tight and clasps and connections are secure.

It is also important to store jewelry properly. When not worn, store the gold pieces in a soft cloth bag or the original box to protect them from tarnishing and other elements.

Products containing mercury, such as mercurochrome, cause irreversible damage to gold.

Gold chains should be closed and laid flat in order to avoid forming knots.
